Douglas E. Fuchs, 57, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at 12:10 PM in St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL

He was born on August 9, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois a son, of Lawrence E. & JoAnn (Warrick) Fuchs.

Doug graduated Trinity Lutheran Grade School, Jackson, Michigan, and Lutheran West High School, Rocky River, Ohio and went on to obtain a degree from Akron University.

He was employed by the State Of Illinois as a data processor and has retired but has continued as a contract employee. He was the former owner of Cruiseaholics.

Doug took great joy in the presence of his grandchildren

Doug married the former Diane Sies March 6, 1981 in Zion Lutheran Church of Litchfield.

He is survived by his parents Lawrence & JoAnn Fuchs of Litchfield, IL

Wife,                     Diane  Fuchs of Litchfield, IL

Sons,                     Adam (Leah) Fuchs of Litchfield, IL

                                Brian (Kiley) Fuchs of Litchfield, IL

                                Austin Fuchs of St. Louis, MO

Daughter,            Heather Fuchs of Litchfield, IL

Grandchildren, Jackson, Jace, Roman & Harvey Fuchs.

Brother,               Scott (Monica) Fuchs of Colorado Springs, CO.

Niece                   Kathy Fuchs

Nephew               Steven Fuchs

He  was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lillian Fuchs.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. in Litchfield Family Funeral Services, with Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating, with burial in Edgewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Doug will be greatly missed by HFS. I considered him a colleague and a friend. We had many conversations about his family that he was so proud of and compared stories about our grandkids. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Doug worked for me several years. He was a very smart man and I enjoyed working with him. He was very good at taking on technical problems and always enjoyed the challenge. My deepest sympathies to his family.
