Daniel Webster Obituary

Daniel Arthur Webster, age 75, of Litchfield, IL passed away peacefully on March 21st, 2024, at his family home. He was born on August 21, 1948 at St. Elizabeth hospital in Belleville, IL to Marie Elizabeth Pastrovich and Leroy Alexander Webster. He attended grade school in Butler, IL and transitioned to Hillsboro high school where he excelled in sports, particularly rugby and football. Dan graduated high school in 1967 and after graduating went on to become a certified GM mechanic at Four Flags and Brubakers. Having an interest in law enforcement, Dan became a Reserve Officer and went on to graduate from the Police Training Institute at University of Illinois on October 29, 1976.

Dan met the love of his life, Sabina Denise White, in 1978 and they had a once in a lifetime love. They went on to marry November 28th, 1980 and Dan brought two sons, Daniel Scott Webster and Douglas Arthur Webster, into the marriage. Dan and Sabina went on to have two sons of their own, Nathaniel Ryan Webster and Joshua Daniel Webster. Dan was a well known officer not only for Litchfield Police Department but also Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Dan took pride in his work certifying in many training programs including sniper training. In total he put in 23 years for Litchfield Police Department retiring as an Investigator and 15 years for Montgomery County Sherriff's office retiring as a Deputy in charge of court security. Dan enjoyed golfing, shooting, bowling, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family. He always had a goofy demeanor and corny jokes. Dan was devoted to his faith in God and his favorite saying was "God is Good".

Dan is survived by his wife Sabina of Litchfield. His sons Douglas (Christie) Webster of O'Fallon, MO, Nathaniel (Jennifier) Webster, of Hillsboro, IL, and Joshua (Mallory) Webster of O'Fallon, IL. Dan is also survived by his sister Nancy Webster of High Ridge, MO, his grandchildren; Rebecca Ingham, Danielle Webster, Ashleigh Payne, Elizabeth Webster, Adam Webster, and Josey Webster. Dan is also survived by his 10 great grandchildren. He is preceeded in death by his parents Marie and Leroy Webster, his brother Lee Webster and son Scott Webster. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 4 to 7:00 pm at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, 700 South State St, Litchfield, IL.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 10:30 am at First Baptist Church Litchfield .
Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. 

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Tunnels to Tower.
