Debra "Debbie" Jean (Ramirez) Flores

Debra Jean “Debbie” Flores, 61 of Litchfield, IL, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 12:21 P.M. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Debbie was born on August 24, 1957 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Manuel & Mary (Gonzales) Ramirez.

Debbie married Dagoberto “Robert” Flores on June 26, 1999 in Chicago, and he survives.

Debbie worked as a child care provider at a daycare center in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Cornerstone Ministries in Litchfield, IL.

She loved her church and her church family, especially the Pastor and his wife. She enjoyed listing to Christian music and reading her bible. Debbie also loved the color purple.

Debbie was a woman of her word, sometimes bossy and to the point, but no one ever doubted her sincerity. She loved those around her and was loved in return. She took care of her husband and enjoyed spending time with her family as often as she could. Along with listening to Christian music, she also enjoyed listening to the “Oldies” and often danced around.

She never passed up a bargain and enjoyed spending her weekend’s thrift shopping at several different locations. Anytime she thought someone was going to pass a White Castle, she always made a point to remind them to bring her some of their famous burgers. She also made sure she was never without her chewing gum.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Manuel Ramirez, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at the Cornerstone Ministries in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Keith Parris will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Cornerstone Church in Litchfield. Cremation will follow services, per Debbie’s wishes. The family suggests memorials be directed to PAWS Care of Montgomery County.
