Kenneth Morland Broyles, 80, of Willsonville, IL, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at 6:43 A.M. at the Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL.
He was born on October 6, 1939 in Winfield, MO, a son of Morland and Eveline (Eschbach) Broyles.
Mr. Broyles was a career veteran of the United States Military, having served for 25 years and retired in 1990 as an E-8 Master Sargent.
Kenny married the former Joyce Winslow on September 1, 1962 in Carrollton, IL, and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2017. He graduated from Brussels High School.
He enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Gillespie.
Kenny is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Zane) Brown of Willsonville IL; son, Christopher Broyles and grandchildren, Allyssa, Mya, Ian, Jase, Jonte and Danny; 3 brothers and 4 sisters; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joyce.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, IL, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife. Full military honors will be conducted at graveside by the Jerseyville American Legion Post #492.
