Sandra Kay (Bone) Hemken

Sandra Kay Hemken, 56, of Walshville, IL, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 1:40 A.M. at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland, IL.

She was born on December 19, 1960 in Greenville, IL, a daughter of the late Raymond Bone and Doris (Scoles) Jarman.

Sandy married Ray Hemken on July 16, 1982 in Walshville, IL and he survives.

Sandy was a homemaker where she enjoyed taking care of her children and later in life, spending time with her grandchildren. She liked to drink her coffee and enjoyed cooking for the entire family. She was the life of the party and liked to make people laugh. Sandy also always lent a helping hand wherever and whenever she could.

Along with her husband, Ray, Sandy is survived by her 4 children: J Laurent of Belleville, IL, Justin Hemken (fiancé Katie McDowell) of Abilene, TX, Casey Logsdon (Mark Timmermann) of Litchfield, Leslie “Levi” (Trishena Bolyard) of Litchfield; 9 grandchildren, Audrey Hemken, Clayton Logsdon, Leah Hemken, Reese Logsdon, Dawson Hemken, Matthew Hemken, Rylee Hemken, Cash Logsdon, & Gabriel Laurent; siblings, Becky (Mike) Johnson of Hillsboro, Raymond (Tina) Bone of Litchfield, Karen Hockett (Companion John Boerchel), Pat (Ron) Taylor of Hillsboro, Doris (Larry) Kurfiss of Hillsboro, Tammy (Steve) Estell of Litchfield , Bill Jarman of PA, Chuck (Patty) Jarman of Litchfield & Bobbi (Chris) Steiner of Litchfield

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Tom Bone and Edward Jarman, step-father, Bob Jarman & 4 nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 4:30 P.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Rudy Elam will officiate. Visitation will commence after the service from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. The family suggests memorials be directed to the family.
