Betty Jean Neilsen

Betty Jean Neilsen, 89, of Mt. Olive, passed away Wednesday evening, September 14, 2016 at 10:02 P.M. at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.

Betty was born on August 23, 1927 in Chicago, IL, a daughter of Herbert & Elizabeth (VonEinem) Bernreuter.

She married Theodore Neilsen on August 22, 1947 in Chicago, IL. They recently celebrated 69 years together.

Betty was an executive secretary in Chicago and was also an Artist.

Following high school she attended college and received her degree.

Along with her husband, Theodore of Mt. Olive she is survived by:

Sons,                                     Rev. Thomas (Joan) Neilsen of Spring City, PA

                                               Kurt (Lois) Neilsen of North Carolina

6 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren

Sister,                                   Joanne Caldwell of Florida.

Services will commence at a later date.

Litchfield Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
