Billie Jean (Glass) Vancil

Billie Jean Vancil, 78, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 12:39 P.M. at her residence.

She was born on November 26, 1941 in Hillsboro, IL, a daughter of the late Olin Wayne and Evelyn (Simpson) Glass.

On June 16, 1961 she married Merlin W. Vancil and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2017.

Billie enjoyed staying home and taking care of her family. She loved to read and sit at her window to watch the birds.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann “Judy” (Michael) Phipps; grandson, Cole (Sarah Painter) Phipps both of Litchfield, IL; twin brother, Olin Wayne “Bob” Glass, Jr. and companion Shirley Crase of St. Peters, MO; sisters, Doris Crobin of Glen Carbon, IL, and Eleanor Foster of Middletown, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Lucille Beeler.
