Corey Peat

Corey M. Peat, 29, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 6:03 A.M. at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.

He was born on February 5, 1991 in Litchfield, IL, a son of Richard B. Peat & Kimberly (Jones) Peat.

Corey attended Litchfield High School and worked with his father on various construction job sites as a general laborer.  He enjoyed working on and riding motorcycles, going mudding, and attending Mudfest when he was able.

He is survived by his:

Mother,         Kimberly Peat of Litchfield, IL

Father,          Richard B. (Elizabeth) Peat, Jr. of Kincaid, IL

Brother,         Ritchie Peat

Sister,           Holly Peat – Both of Litchfield, IL

Step-sister,   Taylor Jones of Taylorville, IL

Paternal Grandparents,     Richard & Cheryl Peat of Tovey, IL and Donna Griffin of Taylorville, IL

Several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces & Nephews.

He was preceded in death by a child in infancy, and daughter Adysen Peat, and Maternal Grandparents Russell and Jeane Jones.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to a substance abuse rehabilitation center of donors choice or be directed to the family of Corey Peat.
