Dolores Jane (Saathoff) Butts

Dolores Jane (Saathoff) Butts, 76, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 at 4:25 A.M. at HSHS St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.

She was born on July 19, 1940 in Litchfield, IL a daughter of Harry G. and Matilda M (Bruce) Saathoff.

Dolores married Wayne R. Butts on December 15, 1956 and he preceded her in death.

Dolores attended Litchfield High School and was employed at International Paper Company in Litchfield for several years. She was a member of the Litchfield Southern Baptist Church where she played the piano and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary both in Litchfield.

Daughters,                          Linda S. Kalaskie of Springfield, IL

                                              Phyllis A. Jenkins of Carlinville, IL

Granddaughter,                 Heather (Thomas III) Laurent of Carlinville, IL

Grandsons,                         David J. Kalaskie

                                              Nathan S. Kalaskie both of Springfield, IL

                                              Ricky Jenkins II of Marion, IL

Sister,                                   Mary Dycus of Litchfield, IL

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, David Saathoff, sisters, Paula Perrine, Marita & Dorothy Saathoff.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Roy Eller will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Illinois Baptist Children’s Home and Family Services in Carmi – 949 County Road 1300 North Carmi, IL 62821.
