Edward Lynn Bishop, 58, of Litchfield, IL passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 6:30 a.m. at the Carlinville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Carlinville, IL.

Ed was born on January 23, 1958, a son of James Bishop and Peggy Priori Jett.

Ed grew up in Litchfield but also lived in Aberdeen, South Dakota for about 10 years before returning to Litchfield 2 years ago. Ed was an avid Harley Davidson rider and enjoyed riding with his friends. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around with people.

Ed is survived by his mother, Peggy Jett of Litchfield; stepmother, Joyce Bishop of Litchfield; daughters, Jessi Bishop & Jenni Bishop both of Carlinville, IL; brother, Bob (Debbi) Bishop of Carlinville; sister, Teresa (Frank) Komor of Litchfield, and 5 grandchildren.

His father, James Bishop, preceded him in death.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Friends may call Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 at Litchfield Family Funeral Service on South State Street. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to help purchase a headstone.
