Ethel M. (Ellsworth) Grammer

Ethel M. Grammer, 99 of Litchfield, IL passed away Friday morning, June 9, 2017, at Heritage Health in Litchfield, IL. Ethel was born November 6, 1917, in Granite City, IL, a daughter of William and Margie (Hollingsworth) Ellsworth. She married Eugene Grammer, July 26, 1946, in Granite City, IL. Ethel enjoyed being a homemaker and raising their ten children. Ethel was a member of Assembly of God Church in Litchfield and her spare time was spent quilting, crafts and spending time with her family. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1992, sons, Benny Ray and Richard Grammer, daughter, Sharon Fink, sisters, Elsie Chesley, Pearl Kampman, Ardella Kellams, brothers, William and Charles Ellsworth. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield where funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Wares Grove Cemetery, Butler, IL. Ethel is survived by her sons, Dennis (Linda) Grammer of Litchfield, IL, Kenneth (Joan) Grammer of Sevierville, TN, Gene (Joann) Grammer of Johnston City, IL, Gerald (Janice) Grammer of Gillespie, IL, William (Rosealinda) Grammer of Lacy, WA, daughter, June (Tom) Serres of LasVegas, NV, daughter, Beverly (Charlie) Gunterman of Pawnee, IL, 20 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren, 33 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews Memorials may be made to Coats for Kids in Litchfield.
