Fred Dixon

Fred Leroy Dixon, 75, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday evening, December 13, 2014 at 6:50 p.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

Fred was born on October 14, 1939 in Witt, IL, a son of Charles Leroy and Helen Anna (Klepper) Dixon Law.

Mr. Dixon married the former Cynthia “Cindy” E. Giller on October 22, 1966 in St. Clair County, IL and she survives.  He was a Foreman working for Zimmerman Equipment and retired after 28 years of service. He was also a member of Labor Local in Florida for 4 years then Local 1054. He owned and operated Fred’s Clock Repair. He was a Mason and a member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Bunny Sies, brother Charles Dixon, granddaughter Annette Perkins, and great-grandchildren, Brayden Kessler & infant Perkins.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensberg. The family suggests memorials to be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Association.
