Gary Dilley

Gary Bruce Dilley, 67, of Hillsboro, IL passed away Sunday evening, August 30, 5:54 P.M. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.

Gary was born on February 2, 1948 in Pana, IL, a son of Bruce Leroy & Waneta (Burris) Dilley.

Mr. Dilley married Mary June Bodine and they later divorced.

Gary was a Veteran of the United Sates Army, serving in Vietnam with the Calvary 1^st Airborne Division.

Gary graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1966

Mr. Dilley retired from Graham Correctional Center as a correctional officer.

Gary was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield and a lifetime member of the AmVets Post #16 & AFSCME state union. Gary enjoyed all his animals & trained horses. He also enjoyed reading.  As an avid outdoorsman, Gary enjoyed hunting & fishing. Most important to Gary was spending time with and enjoying his kids and grandkids.

                                               Deb (Kenny, Sr.) Traylor of Litchfield, IL

7 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Bruce Ray.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Paul Jones, associate minister of the Christian Church of Litchfield will officiate.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. The family suggests memorials be directed to PAWS Care of Montgomery County.
