George Albert Small Jr.

George Albert Small Jr., 83, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at Blue Circle Nursing and Rehab in St. Louis, MO.  

George was born November 8, 1942, in Litchfield, IL, a son of George Albert Small Sr. and Pearl (Daly) Laird. He attended Litchfield High School.  He married Rosalia Rodil on September 23, 1992, in the Philippines. 

George served in Operation Desert Storm as a truck driver and was a member of the U.S. Army for over 20 years. Which led him to becoming a member of the Litchfield VFW. George was a hard working man and after his retirement he had several jobs. He worked as a tour bus driver, at the post office, and as a tattoo artist. Though it wasn't all work and George enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, reading the newspaper, competition pistol shooting and loved to target shoot with his family. George was also a member of the Litchfield Baptist Church. He was often joking around and telling jokes which always filled the room with laughter. 

George was preceded in death by his parents, great-great-grandchild, Harper Ann Prost, and sister-in-law, Debbie Small.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 10-noon at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield, IL.

Graveside Services will be conducted with burial to follow on Thursday, June 18th, 2026, 1:00 PM, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL.

George is survived by his wife, Rosalia Small of Litchfield, IL, daughter, Roberta Kaye Clark of Dexter, MO, daughter, Kathleen (Jeffrey) Bell of Winchester, VA, son, Marlon Rodil, granddaughter, Jessica (Colter) Kaster, granddaughter, Jerrica (Jared) Cecil, granddaughter, Chira Bell, grandson, Carter Bell, granddaughter, Milyn Rodil, grandson, Kai Rodil, great granddaughter, Malia Ellsworth, brother, Roy Small, sister, Carolyn (David) Hankins, sister, Linda Gorman, sister-in-law, Roweda Rodil, as well as many nieces and nephews.
