Glenn E. Karrick, 93, of Litchfield IL, passed away Thursday morning, October 28, 2021 at 8:47 A.M. at his residence.
Glenn was born on October 31, 1927 near Barnett in Montgomery County, IL, a son of the late Robert T. “Bob” & Bertha M. (Friend) Karrick.
Glenn worked for Roy Boehler Farm and farmed in both the Macoupin and Montgomery County areas. He became an auctioneer in February 1962 and sold at Pana Sale Barn for 25 years. Glenn was also an independent Real Estate Salesman from 1980 to 2005.
Mr. Karrick was a member of Illinois State Auctioneer Association. Glenn was a member of the Macoupin County Farm Bureau and of New Hope Baptist Church.
Glenn married the former Ivarene M. Jenkins on January 1, 1952 in Girard, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Ivarene Karrick of Litchfield, IL

12 great grandchildren, Jacy (husband Trent) Klaus, Casey Littrell, Parker (companion Piper Guy), Layton, Kinsey, & Jarrett Riedel, Austin, Shaelyn, & Rance Hart, Trenton Boaden (companion Rowdee Sanders) & Jordan Ramey

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Dale, George, and Carl Karrick; 3 sisters, Irene Hantla, Frances Hammond & Dorothy Fenton; 5 nephews and 4 nieces.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Pastors Darrell Molen and Roy Eller will co-officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery near Atwater, IL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be directed to Bethel Ridge Cemetery Association or Coats for Kids.
