Grace A. (Jackson) Titsworth

Grace A. Titsworth, 85, of Litchfield, IL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 28, 2021 at 2:07 P.M.

She was born on March 30, 1935 in Fayette County, a daughter of the late Rufus and Gertie (Cearlock) Jackson.

Grace married Donald Lee “Don” Titsworth on October 2, 1951 in Litchfield, IL and he preceded her in death on October 21, 2020.

Grace attended Litchfield High School and retired after 21 years at Echlin Manufacturing in Litchfield, IL

She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Litchfield, IL where she and Don were baptized together in Christ. Grace showed love and kindness to everyone throughout her life and will always be remembered as being kind hearted. She enjoyed cooking and raising her family, spending time bird watching and nourishing her flowers as she did her family. She was an extraordinary wife, mother and grandmother.

5 Sons,  Daniel (Ruth) Titsworth of King George, Virginia; David  Titsworth of Hillsboro, IL; Mark (Lisa) Titsworth of Omaha, Nebraska; Randy (companion, Pam Rhodes) Titsworth of Divernon, IL &  Clay (Kelly) Titsworth of Litchfield, IL

17 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great –great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Levi Titsworth; son-in-law, Roger Sharp; daughter-in-law, Lisa Titsworth; Brothers, Everett Cearlock, Terry & Phillip Jackson, Jake & Carl Jackson & Leslie Jackson; 5 sisters, Elinor Street, Rosemary Kruse, Dorothy Jackson, Evelyn Flansburgh & Betty Striplin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL, Son-in-law, Steve Schmidt will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Cremation Rites will be accorded after the services and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Crabtree Cemetery Association, Hart Cemetery Association or Coats for Kids.
