Gregory Philip Matthew

Gregory Philip Matthew, 58 of Litchfield, IL  passed away Thursday morning, March 30, 2023, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care in Hillsboro, IL.  
Greg was born December 23, 1964, in Litchfield, IL, a son of Philip Thomas and Barbara Sallenger Matthew. 
Greg graduated from Litchfield High School.
He enjoyed being a mechanic.  He was a great self-taught welder and equipment operator.  He always farmed with his father.  Gregory worked at M & M Service grain elevator.
Greg was an avid truck pull enthusiast and loyal to Ford and John Deere. One of Gregory's greatest pleasures was hosting bon fires at his home. 
He was a member of the Litchfield Moose Club.  
Gregory Philip was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023, 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Sunday ,April 2, 2023 at Litchfield Family Funeral Service.
Gregory is survived by his mother, Barbara Matthew of Litchfield, IL, sister, Angela  (Raymond) Ginnard of Hillsboro, IL, sister, Suzanne (Ed) Faris of Waterloo, IL, brother, Todd  (Melissa) Matthew of Highlands Ranch, CO, sister, Margaret Ann Matthew St. Charles, MO, brother, Douglas (Betsy) Matthew of Springfield, IL, many nieces and nephews.
