Harry E Herschelman

Harry E Herschelman, 86, of Raymond passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 11, 2013 at 3:55 pm at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL.

Harry was born on August 27, 1927 in Zanesville TWSP, IL, a son of Harold  and Lora Lee (Corlew) Herschelman.

Harry married Mary Klaus on August 5, 1951 in Atwater. Harry was a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from Carlinville High School.

Throughout his life, Harry was a farmer in the Atwater area, worked for International Paper & McKay Auto Parts in Litchfield, and retired in 1990 from Crown II Mine in Virden, IL.

Harry enjoyed playing music, camping, and spending several winters in Arcadia, FL.

Harry  is survived by his wife, Mary Herschelman of Raymond; 2 sons, Randy (Kim) Herschelman of Raymond & Patrick (Michelle) Herschelman of Roanoke, VA; 2 brothers, Fred (Phyllis) Herschelman of Springfield & Lyndal (Mary) Herschelman of Carlinville; 3 grandsons, Kyle (Mary) Herschelman, Daniel (Monica) Herschelman, Shane Herschelman; granddaughter, Mikaela (Scott) Tabaka; great-granddaughter, Grace Herschelman; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen Herschelman, twin sons, David & Donald Herschelman,

Graveside Services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Bethel Ridge Cemetery in rural Atwater. There will be no visitation. Rev. Martin Miller will officiate.

Memorials may be directed to Panhandle Food Pantry.
