Ivarene (Jenkins) Karrick

Ivarene Karrick, 90, of Litchfield, IL passed away Friday evening, December 31, 2021 at 8:14 P.M. at her residence.

Ivarene was born on July 28, 1931 in Palmyra, IL, the only child of the late Ivan and Dorothy (Hagler) Jenkins.

She graduated from Palmyra High School. Ivarene married Glenn Karrick on January 1, 1951 in Girard, IL. They would have celebrated their 71st wedding Anniversary. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2021.

Mrs. Karrick was a homemaker and caregiver throughout her life. She also worked alongside her husband Glenn with their auctioneering business. She drove the truck during auctions and took care of the accounting, completing all the sale bills. Ivarene was in charge of making sure everything ran accordingly.

5 Grandchildren, Randy  Littrell of Raymond, IL; Gina (husband Terry) Riedel of Walker, KS; Gayla (husband Rye) Hart of La Sal, Utah; Renae Patton of Grand Junction, CO; & Sara Littrell  (companion Jory Whittington) of Kingman, IN

12 great grandchildren, Jacy (husband Trent) Klaus, Casey Littrell, Parker (companion Piper Guy), Layton, Kinsey, & Jarret Riedel, Austin, Shaelyn, & Rance Hart, Trenton Boaden (companion Rowdee Sanders) & Jordan Ramey

3 great-great grandchildren, Annee Jo Boaden, Ace Boaden & Renlyn Reidel

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Glenn.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Pastors Darrell Molen and Roy Eller will co-officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Bethel Ridge Cemetery near Atwater, IL. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Litchfield Food Pantry or Hearts United.
