Jack L Weller, 88, of Litchfield, IL passed away October 10, 2020 at HSHS St John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL
He was born June 16, 1932 in Litchfield, IL the son of the late Edgar and Mildred (Hamilton) Weller.
Jack served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Webco, Fiat Allis and the City of Litchfield. He retired in 1994.
He married Naomi R. (Opel) on January 1, 1955. She preceded him in death September 11, 2020.
Jack was an avid welder, building a truck camper in 1968 that was featured in Stabilizer Magazine. He enjoyed traveling with his family, playing pinochle, fishing, hunting and pitching horseshoes.
He is survived by his family,
Sons: Tom (Anna) Weller of Springfield, IL; Tim (Waneta) Weller of Thayer, IL; and William “Bill” Weller of Springfield, IL
Daughters: Candace “Candy” (Lou) Taylor of Litchfield, IL; Cindy (Mark) Reed of Litchfield, IL
Grandchildren: Chris & Jeff Weller; Carly, Ruth, & Joseph Weller; Brandon & Jacob Taylor; Nick, Greg (Ashley), & Jeremiah Reed
Great Grandson: Wesley Reed
Brothers: Marvin “Grump” (Jackie) Weller of Independence, MO; Harry (Patty) Weller of Litchfield, IL
Sister: Freda Kieslar of Hillsboro, IL
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Naomi; infant son Mark; 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
Private family graveside services were be held, Tuesday, October 10, 2020, Pastor Rudy Elam will officiate.
