Jason Hemken

Leslie Jason Hemken, 71, of Litchfield, passed away Tuesday morning, March 3, 2015 at 1:07 A.M. at Hillsboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Hillsboro, IL.

Jason was born on July 22, 1943 in Walshville, IL, a son of Charles Leslie & Dorothy Kathleen (Watson) Hemken.

He married the former Judith Ann Fenton on July 28, 1962 in Litchfield, IL. She survives.

Mr. Hemken was a heavy equipment operator with local 520 for 50 years and owned and operated Jason Hemken Excavating.

Jason was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Gertrude Seal & brother, Raymond Hemken.

Graveside service will be held Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Crabtree Cemetery in rural Litchfield. Pastor Rudy Elam, of Mt. Olive, will officiate. Visitation will be held from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
