Joanette Marie “Joanie” Blevins 66, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:34 P.M. at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born on August 6, 1954 in Springfield, IL, a daughter of the late George and Lois (Thompson) Carnduff.
Joanie attended Litchfield High School and married Joseph E. Blevins on June 26, 1970 in Litchfield, IL. He survives.
She worked at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL for 46 years where she was a nursing assistant and spent the majority of her time in the Specialty Clinic. She was a member of the Women of The Moose in Litchfield.
She was an accomplished bowler having achieved several trophies which she was very proud of and enjoyed camping and fishing. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Red Skins fan, cheering them on for all to hear. Joanie was known for her love of the Native American Culture and enjoyed crocheting, and most importantly spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Joe Blevins of Litchfield, IL

Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Rusty & Lyle Welch, and sister, Gloria Cantrall.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at the residence of daughter, Mieka Kalaher, 5217 Old Litchfield Trail, Litchfield, IL. Visitation will be Saturday, December 12, from 1 until service time at the residence. Nephew, Gibby Dealey will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Montgomery County Cancer Association or the American Legion Post 436 in Litchfield, IL.
