42, of Litchfield passed away Thursday morning December 15, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. John was born on on October 10, 1969 in Litchfield, IL to Bobbi (Williams) Cox and Dennis Cox. He married Michelle (O'Brian) Cox on June 21, 1991 in Litchfield  at South Side Baptist Church. They had two children together J.D. and Blake Cox.  John was a Master Diesel Mechanic at Ponder Equipment in Litchfield, his career spanded 20 years. He loved muscled cars, motorcycles, and was a gun enthusiast and a wonderful father who was devoted to his family. 

Surviving are his: Spouse: Michelle of Litchfield, Children, J.D. Cox of Litchfield, and Blake Cox of Litchfield, Parents: Dennis and Bobbi Cox of Litchfield, Sisters: Lisa Richardson (Steve) of Litchfield, IL, Lauren Cox of Litchfield, IL and two Nieces.

Visitation will be Sunday December 18, 2011 4:00 P.M to 7:00 P.M at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be Monday at 11:00 A.M. December 19, 2011 at Elmwood Cemetery at Litchfield, IL. Memorials may be made out to Montgomery Cancer Society.
