John Lange

John A. Lange, 64, of Witt, IL, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 5:40 P.M. at his residence.

 He was born on January 30, 1954 in St. Louis, MO, a son of James & Neoma (Hicks) Lange.

 Mr. Lange was a veteran of the United States Army having proudly served from 1973-1979. As a sergeant, Mr. Lange was awarded many honors during his service including the National Defense Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal; Sharpshooter Badge with M16 Rifle; Sharpshooter Badge with Hand Grenade.

 John was a prison guard for Graham Correctional Center in Hillsboro, IL before retirement.

 He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Joseph) Hasheider of St. Peters, MO, Jessica (Chris) Kessler of O’Fallon, MO, & Lindsey (Hack) Warnack – U.S. Navy, Germany; grandchildren, Stephani (Ryan) Roth , Hannah, Gracie, Ryan, James, and Dara; great-granddaughter, Elaina; brother, Larry, sisters, Betty & Linda; and friends who were important to him.

 Graveside, military services will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO

 The family suggests memorial contributions to be directed to the donor’s choice.
