John B. Lasko

John B. Lasko, 77 of Litchfield, IL, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at the Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Hillsboro.

John was born February 3, 1935 in Litchfield, IL, son of Joseph and Eleonora (Linowska) Lasko. John served his country from 1957-1959 in the Army and was stationed in Germany. On February 20, 1960 John married the former Donna (Brandt) in Litchfield, IL.

John worked as a roofer for more than 35 years and was a member of Roofers Local #112.

He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and tinkering in his garage. Before his illness John was a member of the Moose Club in Litchfield.

Surviving are his wife Donna Lasko, daughter, Lori (Terry) Jackson , son, Steve Lasko, daughter, Amy (Travis) Quance all of Litchfield, granddaughter, Stacey Jackson of Springfield, granddaughter, Katie Jackson of Killeen Tx., grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Lucas and Michael Quance all of Litchfield, sister, Mary Finch of Gillespie, sister, Helen Maas of AZ, sister, Hedrick Quinn of Litchfield and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe Lasko and three sisters; Genevive Simmons, Sophia Komor and Ann Crites.

Friends may call, Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 at Litchfield Family Funeral Service at 700 South State Street in Litchfield, IL.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield .
