Joyce Ann Heaps

Joyce Ann Heaps, 93, of Litchfield, IL., passed away Monday, October 30, 2023, at Litchfield Heritage Healthcare and Rehab in Litchfield, IL.

 
Joyce was born July 29, 1930, in Kenosha, WI, a daughter of Wendell and Reba Lucille Cress Savage. Joyce graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1948.  She married Walter Heaps on February 5, 1949, in Litchfield, IL. 

Joyce enjoyed crafting and crocheting as well as reading. She loved being with her grandkids and raising her children.  She was a member of Union Ave. Christian Church in Litchfield, IL.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Heaps, Jr., father, Wendell Savage, mother, Reba Lucille Savage, and grandson Michael Cunningham. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 4:00-6:00 pm at Litchfield Family Funeral Services, 700 S. State St., Litchfield.

Funeral Services will be conducted at Litchfield Family Funeral Services at 10:30 AM, on Friday, November 3, 2023, with Reverend Cassie Sexton-Riggs officiating.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Gary) Wolf of Dallas, TX, son, Kevin Heaps of Litchfield, IL, son, Kerry (Haley) Heaps of Tuscon, AZ, son, Kelly (Angela) Heaps of Gillespie, IL, sister, Carol Knudson of Belleview, FL, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 nephews and 1 niece.

Joyce's wishes were that memorials may be made to Coats for Kids.
