Larry Dean Maroney

Larry Dean Maroney, 81, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
  
Larry was born April 24, 1943, in Taylor Springs, IL, the son of Russell Clement and Linda Roper Maroney. He graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1962.  He married Sheila Barnes November 6, 1965, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Litchfield, IL.

Larry was employed at Hillsboro Glass for thirty-two years as a quality control inspector.  He loved his Catholic faith, spending time with his family and loved to joke around. He was an avid storyteller. He spent many hours wood working and doing hobby crafts. He loved to fish and spend time outdoors. Larry was a St. Louis Cardinal fan and loved sports. Time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was time well spent to Larry. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carol Ash, and Dorothy Matthews, and step-mother, Dorothy Maroney. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, 700 South State St, Litchfield, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield, IL.

Burial will follow in Elm Lawn Cemetery, Litchfield, Il. 

Larry is survived by his spouse, Sheila Rose Maroney of Litchfield, IL, daughter, Lisa Marie (Robert) Millerbaugh of New Douglas, IL, grandsons, Brandon Maroney and Matthew Millerbaugh,  great-grandchildren, Bradley, Kanon, and Tyson.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital.
