Lovia M (Dyer) Cowgill

Lovia Cowgill, 78, of Litchfield, IL passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation in Taylor Springs, IL.

She was born on May 9, 1943 in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of the late Clifton and Lola (Jackson) Dyer.

Lovia married Donald L. Cowgill and he preceded her in death.

Lovia was an amazing cook and previously worked at the Gardens and the Ariston Restaurant in Litchfield, IL.  She enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.

Sons, Bradley Dyer of Litchfield, IL &   Stanley Cowgill of Litchfield, IL

Daughters,  Donna Osborn of Litchfield, IL & Sandra Adams of Litchfield, IL

9 grandchildren,  9 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Mark Dyer brothers, Clifford “Tony” Dyer, Stanley Dyer & Terry Dyer, sister, Joanne Hollers, son-in-law Craig Adams

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Visitation will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  at the funeral home. Matt Houser will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the family.
