Maria Rose Uchtman

Maria Rose Uchtman, 22 years old of Litchfield, IL, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.  Maria was born on June 26, 1991, a daughter of Fred and Marva (Hemphill) Uchtman.  Maria was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Litchfield.  Maria attended Mt. Olive High School, graduating in 2009.  Maria worked as a Server for Denny's Restaurant for two years. Maria liked to listen to music and dance.  She was a people person, enjoying time spent with her family, especially outdoor cookouts. Maria was also a former Girl Scout.

Surviving are her mother, Marva Uchtman; father, Fred Uchtman; fiancé, Randy Rolland; sisters, Jamie Lasko-Settles (Don), Kathleen Lasko (Jacob Carter) and Carley Uchtman; nephews, Justin Hemphill & Dalton Settles; nieces, Jessica Guzman, Isabelle Lasko & Jayden Carter; grandmothers, Donna Uchtman & Ruth Hemphill, as well as numerous aunts, uncles & cousins.

Maria was preceded in death by her sister, Lisa Hemphill; great-grandmother, Leona Kellenberger and grandfathers, Carl Uchtman & Marvin Hemphill.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 11 - 1 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, located at 700 S. State St.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Litchfield Family Funeral Service.  Brother Lon Bruce, High Priest of the Church of Latter-Day Saints will officiate. She will be laid to rest in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend next to her sister Lisa.
