Marjorie Jean Duncan, 89, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Friday evening, January, 29, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.
She was born April 8, 1926 in Litchfield, the daughter of Evaline “Maude” (White) and Howard Louis Christen.
She graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1944. She was a long time receptionist of the Roller Derby Skate Corporation.
She married George “Jiggs” Hantla on July 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1997. She married Charles E. Duncan on May 29, 1998 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Marj was a member of Union Avenue Christian Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
In 1944, Marjorie was crowned the May Queen, a title that she was very proud of. Marj enjoyed shopping, gardening, and taking walks. She had a love for animals, especially dogs. Marj always enjoyed being around people and was outgoing and friendly.

Great-grandchildren, Jack, Julia, and Mitch Hantla & Natalie and Wil Niehaus
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ruth Hermsmeyer.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Rev. Tracy Armstrong, associate minister at Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield, will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 1:00 P.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service.
Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield, IL.
