Pansy Jeanette Day, 89 of Litchfield, IL, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at her home.
Pansy was born July 27, 1936, in Honey Bend, IL, a daughter of Franklin Joel and Ollie Marie (Neldon) Kean. Pansy attended Honey Bend Schools. She married Harley Lee Tibbs in June of 1956 in Corinth, MS. Harley passed away on April 24, 1990. Pansy later married Kenneth Lee Day in April 1993 at First Christian Church in Decatur. He would also precede her in death in April 2010.
Pansy worked at Litchfield Creamery Co. When she moved to Decatur, she worked at several creameries and then started at General Electric as an inspector until she retired in 1970.Pansy was raised in the Pleasant Hill Christian Church and later attended Litchfield Christian Church. She enjoyed watching the murder classics on TV.
Pansy was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, brother, George "Jack" Walter Kean, and several half-brother & sisters.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, January 26, 2026, at Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Honey Bend, IL.
Pansy is survived by her half-sister, Joan Langer of Livingston, IL, brother, Lee (Teri) Greer of Taylorville, IL, niece, Patty (Kenny) Crumbey of Livingston, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
