Pauline White, 89, of Walshville, IL passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at 2:40 P.M. at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 27, 1931 in Hillsboro, IL a daughter of the late Edgar & Myrtle (Hill) Joyce.
On October 7, 1950 she married Robert M. White in Hillsboro, IL. He preceded her in death.
Pauline graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to obtain her certification to become a nurses aid and was employed by Hillsboro Area Hospital and St. Francis Hospital. She also dedicated her time to being a homemaker, and providing for her family.
She was a devout member of the Walshville Christian Church and the Christian Church of Litchfield for many years and assisted with bible school, bible studies and cleaning the church. Pauline worked well into her late 70s providing home health care to those in need. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and dedicated her spare time to lending a helping hand. Her many thoughtful cards and hand written letters to friends and family will be dearly missed. Pauline will forever be known for having such a kind and generous heart. Pauline also enjoyed spending time with her best friend and neighbor, Rose Simberger.
She is survived by her children;
Marilyn White of Litchfield, IL.; Sandra (Rick) Manypenny of Salem, OH; Gwen Knight of Walshville, IL; Mark White of Mason, IL ; Ruth (Steven) Simon of Walshville, IL; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren & 1 great great-grandchild; Twin sister, Nadine Wolf of Staunton, IL; many nieces and nephews; dear friend, Rose Simberger
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert; brothers, Raymond and Harry Joyce; sister Betty Allen; grandson, Richard Manypenny & daughter in law, Ila Jo White.
Private family grave side services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield, IL. Pastor Skyler Elmer will officiate.
A public memorial service for extended family and friends will be announced at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Christian Church of Litchfield.
