Roberta Ann (Furlow) Roberts

Roberta Ann Roberts, 80, of Hillsboro IL, went to be with the lord on Wednesday afternoon, November 5, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.  
Roberta was born on April 20, 1945, in DuQuoin, IL, a daughter of Robert "Bob" and Norma (Neal) Furlow. Roberta graduated from Raymond High School with the class of 1963.  She married Denny Roberts on April 18, 1964 in Morrisonville, IL. 
This woman never had an enemy or a bad word for anyone.  She truly was loved by all. Her home was warm and the doors were always open.  Any kids, nieces, nephews, from church, school or the neighborhood knew they could pop in any time.  They knew they would be welcomed with open arms and a smile showing the love she had for each one of them.
There would always be a fresh pitcher of iced tea on hand at the house. 
Roberta was a classroom aide for the Litchfield School District.  She was an integral part of many classrooms.  She helped children with differing abilities for several years.  She always encouraged them with love and positivity.  None of "her" kids during her watch ever had a need for clean clothes, or anything they needed for success.  Roberta retired from the District.  
Then the real fun began. She and Denny picked back up on their love for The Lake of the Ozarks.  They started going there in the 60's with Roberta's sister and brother in law, Mary and Bob.   They picked right back up with boating on their pontoon. Their boat was always filled with family and friends, lots of food and fun.  Roberta loved being outside; especially on the beach.  They then became snowbirds and started renting a home in Palm Harbor, FL where they met so many friends from all over the country and Canada.  Sun City Center, Florida is their current snowbird location.  It's about an hour from several beaches where you almost had to drag Roberta away from to get her to go home.  One could go on and on about the adventures with many friends and family.    
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Deanna Roberts, sister, Maud and John Belden, brothers-in-law, Bob Schmidt and Bob Held.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 9:00 to 11:00 am at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield.
Burial will follow in Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Litchfield.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Denny Roberts of Hillsboro, IL, daughter, Denise (Jerry) Young of Sun City Center, FL, daughter, Angie Tefteller of Litchfield, IL, five grandchildren; Devin (Kara) Tefteller, Taylor (Ryan) Howard, Dalton Tefteller, Gavyn Roberts, and Michael Young, three great grandchildren, Brynlee, Everly, and Tesley Tefteller, sister, Naomi Schmidt, sister, Mary Held and several nieces and nephews.
The family has asked that you not send flowers or plant a tree.  It was Roberta's wish that memorials be made to Beverly Farms, in Godfrey, IL where Roberta and Denny's grandson Dalton resides.
