Ronald Keith Roach, 78, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 7:21 A.M. at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Ron was born on November 10, 1941 in Litchfield, IL, a son of the late Ivan Bennett & Cecelia Grace (Hess) Roach.
On April 4, 1964 he married the former Linda L. Newhouse in Litchfield, IL, and she preceded him in death on August 31, 2010.
Mr. Roach was a proud United States Veteran having served in the Marine Corps during the Bay of Pigs.
Ron was a self-employed carpenter by trade and specialized in being a locksmith for several years. Ron was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather making sure he was always involved in family activities.
Ron coached his sons and several other Litchfield youths in baseball and was credited with Litchfield World Series Victories having won 3 consecutive years in the late 70s early 80s He was a volunteer Boy-Scouts of America Leader, Volunteer Police Officer for the Litchfield Police Department and held memberships at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Moose Lodge, and the Eagles, all in Litchfield.
Mr. Roach also enjoyed going to casinos, especially the Alton Bell Casino where his luck never ran dry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; sister, Christina Diamond; son-in-law, Dave Schwab; Grandchildren, Meghan Everett & Carter Schmidt.
