Ronald "Ron" Milton Stamper, 61, the youngest son of Dottie Corcoran, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 23rd at his home in Marietta, Georgia. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Ron worked for Mr. Tire Automotive as a service manager prior to his death. He loved fishing with his two sons, Stephen and Harrison, as well as his daughter Alexis, who could out-fish many a fisherman! Ron was a faithful and very active member of North River Church of Christ. He was also a connoisseur of good cigars and loved his "nightly" smokes . Ron was a veteran of the United States Army who served his country, and part of his duties was that of a cook. His appreciation of cooking followed him throughout his life. He enjoyed trying out new recipes for his family and friends, and loved to try new foods! Two of his favorite foods were Ambighetti sandwiches and pretzels.
Ron was predeceased by his sister Renee Vahey Dillingham; step dad Kelly Corcoran, aunt Lorraine Parker, first cousin Karen Parker; "honorary" aunt Tootsie Tobin, and father Milton Stamper. He is survived by his wife Debbie Stamper, sons Stephen Stamper and Harrison Stamper of the home; daughter Alexis Stamper and her partner Blake Bennett of Bradenton, Florida; mother Dottie Corcoran of Mount Olive, Illinois; brothers Robert (Bob)Stamper of Lake Sherwood, Missouri and Richard (Rick) Stamper of Kirkwood, Missouri; niece Molly Stamper of Kirkwood, Missouri; nephew Michael Stamper of Tampa, Florida; first cousins Keith Parker of Deltona, Florida; Kathy Parker of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Kevin Parker of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Kerry Parker of East Bend, North Carolina, and ''honorary'' cousin Mary Ellen Tobin of Affton, Missouri. In lieu of lowers, donations may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, a charity that serves our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need located at P.O. Box 40726 Nashville, TN 37204. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 11 A.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 A.M.
