Ronald "Ronnie" O'Brian

Ronald "Ronnie" O'Brian, 56 of Litchfield, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL, surrounded by his family.  

Ronnie was born June 25, 1969, in Clarksdale, MS, a son of Jerry Glenn and Linda Faye Jefcoat O'Brian. 

He graduated from Granite City High School with the class of 1985.  Together with Kathy Ellis, he had three children. 

Ronnie was a general laborer working out of the Local Union Hall as an asbestos abatement and laborer.

He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and especially his four grandchildren.  

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Glenn O'Brian, sisters, Lisa Collins and Judy O'Brian, and nephew Devin Cruthis.  

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1-3pm at Litchfield Family Funeral Services,700 South State St, Litchfield, IL.

Burial will be at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield, IL.

Ronnie is survived by his mother, Linda Faye O'Brian, daughter, Brittany O'Brian of Bloomington, IL, daughter, Ashley O'Brian of Litchfield, IL, son, Zachary O'Brian of Litchfield, IL, and four grandchildren, Colby, Adalyn, Jordan, and Luke and sisters; Jerri (Mark) O'Brian of Litchfield, IL and Merri (Kevin) Cruthis of Panama, IL,  and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Litchfield Family Funeral Service for funeral expenses to assist the family.
