Ronnie Lee Boerckel, 57, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 9:24 A.M. at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

He was born on June 5, 1959 in Effingham, IL, a son of Melvin Gene Boerckel & Dorothy Mae (Longwell) Lawson. 

Ronnie was a custodian for the Litchfield High School for 6 years.

Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and enjoyed his friends in a social setting.

Ronnie is survived by:

Mother,                                Dorothy (Roy) Lawson of Litchfield

Son,                                       Ricky Lee Boerckel of Litchfield

Brother,                               Randy (Theresa) Boerckel of Litchfield

Sister,                                   Sandy Boerckel of Hillsboro

a nephew and four nieces

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Ricky Gene Boerckel.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield. Rev. Matt Houser will officiate. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 until service time at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Hearts United in Litchfield.
