Roy Hefer

Roy LaVerne Hefer, 88, of Staunton, IL passed away Friday afternoon, December 11, 2015 at 2:15 P.M. at his residence.

He was born on May 14, 1928, in Staunton, IL, a son of Martin & Hazel Ann (Green) Hefer.

Following the passing of his parents, Roy became the owner of Hefer’s restaurant where they specialized in soft serve ice cream. He was also a tour guide for Presley tours and Al’s tours. While giving a tour he met his soon to be wife, Pauline Jendraszak. He courted her for 14 years before they were married. They were married on December 24, 1988 in Streator, IL.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline of Staunton

Sister-in-law, Maxine (Chester) Wajada of LaGrange, IL

Nephew, Ches (Jennifer) Wajada of San Francisco, CA

Niece, Michele (Andrew) Johannes of LaGrange, IL
