Sharon Kay Roach, 82, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Hillsboro Area Hospital in Hillsboro, IL.
Sharon was born December 13, 1942, in Hillsboro, IL, a daughter of Victor V. and Helen M. (Randle) Vollintine. Sharon graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1961. She married Gene on April 6, 1962, he later passed on July 15, 2004.
Sharon was a hardworking woman who worked at the Roller Derby for 22 years. After that she continued her hard work as a CNA, being a physical and occupational therapy aid for 15 years. She did complete care system in field supervisor for 6 years. She ended her career at Hillsboro Hospital as a CNA in assisted living for 3 years before retiring in 2008. She continued even after retiring working with private home care at Cornerstone. She was a life long member of the Washville Baptist Church. She took care of so many people for so long and now she may take her rest. She is very loved by her family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Gene Roach.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield.
Sharon is survived by her son, Ronald (Lori) Roach of Litchfield, IL, daughter, Tammy (companion Todd Fogle) Roach of Hillsboro, IL, daughter, Stephanie (companion Nathan) Roach of Gillespie, IL, brother, Lonnie (Carol) Vollintine of Coffeen, IL, sister, Vicki (Bob) Komor of Litchfield, IL, grandchildren, Hayden (companion Tori Collenn) Roach of O'Fallon, MO, Kayla Wentler of Gillespie, IL, Logan Kean of Gillespie, IL, Dylan Gamble of TX, and C.J. Gamble of Saginaw, TX, great-grandchild, Cooper Wentler, Ryker Wentler, Zachary Kean, and Kieren Ried, step granddaughter, Misti Meisenheimer, step great grandson, Wesley Reed, as well as several nieces and nephews.
