Shirley Ann (Chesney) King

Shirley Ann King, 61, of Litchfield, made the journey on July 3, 2014 to meet her Lord and Savior. Shirley was loved and touched by all she encountered.  Shirley was born on July 7, 1952 in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of Alex & Frances “Shirley” (Boelhaufe) Chesney. She was married to Lee King for 24 years on 6/29/2014 and he preceded her in death.

In her younger years, Shirley worked at Roller Derby on the factory line, and then later becoming the primary caregiver to her sister, Anna Chesney.

Shirley was a member of Southside Christian Church and was known for being an avid NASCAR fan.

Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Bernard Chesney.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of service in the church. A private graveside service will follow at a later date. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield. The family suggests memorials be directed to the Southside Baptist Church in Litchfield.
