Shirley Elaine (Leitschuh) Savage

Shirley Elaine Savage, 84 of Litchfield, IL, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.  

Shirley was born March 22, 1941, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Anthony and Ann (Kirbach) Leitschuh. Shirley graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1959.  She married Marvin "Sonny" Savage September 26, 1963, in  Litchfield, IL. 

Shirley enjoyed traveling especially on river boats. She was very thrifty, always saving with her many coupons. Game shows and "The Young and the Restless" were her favorite things to watch. Above all, Shirley loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty Frank, and brother, Anthony (Bud) Leitscuh.  

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield, IL.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 2, 2025 at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, Litchfield.

Burial will follow in Crabtree Cemetery, Litchfield, IL.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Marvin "Sonny" A. Savage, Sr. of Litchfield, IL, two sons; Marvin (Karen) Savage, Jr. of Litchfield, IL, and Chad (Katie) Savage of Litchfield, IL, four grandchildren; Cody (Hannah) Savage, Lacy (companion Keith) Savage, Ella Savage, and Luke Savage, two sisters; Dee (Ted) Simmons of Litchfield, IL, and Beverly (Gene) Wagner of FL, as well as several nieces and nephews.
