Timothy Clayton King

Timothy Clayton King, 65 of Litchfield, IL passed away Tuesday morning, January 10, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.  

Tim was born September 9, 1957, in Peoria, IL, a son of Verrol and Laura Gladson King. Tim earned his GED and joined the Army at a young age. 

He later worked as a machinist for Echlin and then worked for 20+ years as a carpenter and project manager for Best Builders in Litchfield.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His hobbies included watching John Wayne and football. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He also liked to fish and camp. He loved taking his dog, Ozzie for rides and always had some sort of project he was working on. He was a very hard worker all of his life. 

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, Noon to 2:00 pm at Litchfield Family Funeral Service, 700 South State Street in Litchfield, IL.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the funeral home.

Tim is survived by his daughters, Haley (Mike) Wells of Coffeen, IL, Hollie (Ryan) Phillips of Hillsboro, IL, Angela (David) Coulter of Litchfield, IL, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother, Mark (Nina) King of Virden, IL, and brother, Verroll King of Litchfield, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude's or Shriner's Hospital.
