Virginia Ruth Benedict

Virginia Ruth Benedict, 66, of Litchfield, IL, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at her home in Litchfield, IL.  

Virginia was born April 25, 1959, in St. Petersburg, FL, a daughter of Herman and Dorothy (Rice) Benedict. Virginia graduated from Pinckneyville, IL with the class of 1977.  

Virginia was a loving woman, spending her time and working at a mental health group home. She had many joys in life including her hobbies of reading and listening to music. She liked dogs and would pet any ones she could find.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at a later date.

Virginia is survived by her sisters Rebecca Ruffner of McCormick, SC and Susan Olson of Pinckneyville, IL, several nieces, nephews & great-nieces and great-nephews.
