Virginia Mae Robinson, 78, of Litchfield, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 1:00 A.M. at her home, surrounded by family and loved ones.
She was born on June 3, 1942 in East Moline, IL, a daughter of Carson and Bernita (Thompson) Tuttle.
She attended Jacksonville High School and married Gary Robinson, Sr. in 1960.
Over the years, Virginia worked at Capps clothing, Mobile Chemical, and Production Press in Jacksonville, IL and then relocated to Texas and worked for South Georgia Laundry Company in Amarillo before returning back to Illinois. Upon her retirement, she continued to work at the Litchfield Wal-Mart for 5 years until her health started to decline.
Virginia was known for being a bingo-holic, buying lottery tickets and gambling. She always looked forward to her annual trips to Vegas with her daughter and plan them months in advance. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly gave her the nickname Nano.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Bobby Joe Robinson & Gary Robinson, Jr.; brother, Gary Murray; sister, Naomi Ruth “Billy” Tuttle; 2 great-grandchildren, Lexee Farmer & Kai Tomkins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Family friend Kerry Hopkins will officiate. Visitation will be held Monday, February, 22, 2021 from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the family in care Cathy Hemken.
Due to Covid-19, CDC guidelines will be enforced. Masks will be required and social distancing will be implemented.
