Viva "Vi" (Jacob) Wolfe

Viva "Vi" Wolfe, 82, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday morning, November 4, 2023 at her residence in Litchfield, IL.  
  
Vi was born on July 24, 1941 to Henry, Jr. and Crescentia (Boehme) Jacob in Litchfield, IL.   

 Vi was a 1959 graduate of Gillespie High School.  She married James Wolfe on July 25, 1959 in Litchfield.  He preceded her in death on December 2, 2009.    Vi was known for her craft of tending bar at then Ken's Lounge and Maggie's.  She also was employed in retail and owned her own business of cleaning homes.  Everyone that knew her loved her.  She loved to travel with he husband, Jim on his awards conventions.  In fact, while in Las Vegas she adored a performance by Elvis Presley.  She always talked about it and made sure everyone knew he was her favorite.    Later, Vi enjoyed travels with her adult daughters, from road trips to beaches in Florida and Hawaii.  Vi had a love for animals from being reared on the family farm, and her cat "Suzy" was by her side for "Grandma's" final breath. 
  
Vi is survived by her two daughters, Theresa A. Wolfe of Litchfield, IL and Jan (companion, Jim Vazzi) Wolfe of Hillsboro, IL; sister, Vida Marit of Litchfield, IL; several nieces and nephews.  
  
Vi was preceded in death by her siblings, Virgil, Vernon, Velva, and Velma. 
  
Per Vi's wishes, there will be no visitation.
     
Funeral services will be private, and will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield, with Rev. Daniel Willenborg, officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Jim.
  
Memorials are suggested to the family for their choice.
