Wayne Ira Heyen

Wayne Ira Heyen 89 of Litchfield passed away Sunday,  May 28, 2017 at his residence in Litchfield, Illinois.

Wayne son of the late William and Marie (Kelly) Heyen was born November 25, 1927 in Dorchester, Illinois. Wayne married Roberta J. Robertson on January 12, 1957 in Cornith, MS. She survives as do children Steve (Lisa) Heyen and Vicky (David) Crocks all of Litchfield, grandchildren Eric (Courtney) Heyen, Tyler (Alisha) Heyen, Travis (fiance’ Lauren Murphy) Crocks and Sara (Zach) Rodeffer, siblings Kelly(Ruby) Heyen of Gillespie, William Heyen, Gillespie, David Heyen, Dorchester, Florence Easton Gillespie and Phyllis (Bill) Parmentier of Benld He was preceded in death by his parents, children Randy Heyen and Julie Heyen  and sisters Shirley Hausman and Faye Heyen.

Wayne was a retired International Harvester Farm Implement Dealer. He had also farmed and delivered  for Wolf Oil, Midwest and Enterprise, and enjoyed working and spending time at the family lake.

Wayne graduated from Shipman High School in 1945 and proudly attended Michigan State University. He served in the U.S. Army and was deployed to Korea.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the Living Stone Church, with Pastor Dr.  Harold Reents officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the church.  Memorials are suggested to The Litchfield Food Pantry or St. Jude’s Hospitals.
