William F. Dillon

William F. Dillon, 63, of Carlinville, passed away Saturday evening, November 3, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

William was born on January 6, 1949 to William and Frances (Wahlsmith) Dillon in Springfield, IL. He graduated from Pawnee High School with the class of 1967. William married Lori Cole on October 3, 2006 in Carlinville.

William retired from Freeman Coal Mine in 2006 as a mine operator. He loved to do carpentry work and enjoy spending time with his family.

William is survived by his wife Lori; son, Levi William Dillon at home; son, Casey Dillon of Perry, GA; daughter, Kristina Bearfoot of Perry, GA; mother, Frances Dillon of Pawnee, IL; 2 brothers, Jeff Dillon of New Berlin, IL and Robert Dillon of Kissimmee, FL, as well as several nieces and nephews.

William was preceded in death by his father, William Dillon and a brother, Steven Todd Dillon.

Per William's request, there will be no services and his body will be donated to Washington University for scientific study.
