Jack D Whitehouse

Jack D. Whitehouse, 79, of Litchfield, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 10:28 A.M. at Litchfield Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care.

He was born on August 20, 1937 in Litchfield, IL a son of the late Harry & Georgia (Greff) Whitehouse.

Jack graduated from the Gillespie High School in 1955 and attended Western University in Macomb, IL.

He married the former Katherine “Kate” Funk on August 3, 1963 at the St. Aloysius Church in Litchfield.

Jack had worked at CPC Rexel in Litchfield where he was an extruder and then for Hillsboro Glass and retired in 1997.

Jack loved all animals, especially his dog, Bill. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.

He is survived by his wife, Kate Whitehouse of Litchfield, IL

Brother, Rogers (Peggy) Whitehouse of Hillsboro, IL; & brothers & sisters-in-laws Floyd & Edna Nail of Litchfield, Mike & Nancy Funk of Litchfield, Sophia Southworth of Litchfield, Joe & Carol Funk of Mt. Olive, and Helen Zimmerman of Dublin, OH. 25 nieces and nephews, & several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Litchfield Family Funeral Service in Litchfield, IL. Rev. Monsignor Dr. Kenneth C. Steffen will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Burial will take place in the Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield, IL. The family suggests memorials to PAWS Care of Montgomery County or the Veterans’ Memorial Garden in Litchfield,
